A Brief History

Therefore, a contract for basic and detailed engineering as well as equipment purchase was signed with a consortium consisting of companies Lurgi, Germany and Pidak, Iran and all activities related to the construction and installation operations were undertaken by Iranian contractors.

Following the contract with Lurgi and Pidak companies, the first phase started in 2001 and ended in 2006 with an annual capacity of one million six hundred and fifty thousand tons of AA grade methanol. Besides, upon completion of the complex's second phase in 2009, Saman Petrochemical Company was included in the list of five largest methanol-producing companies in the world with an annual production capacity of three million and three hundred thousand tons.

Based on standards ISO1004: 2018, ISO 10002: 2018, ISO50001: 2018, ISO45001: 2018, ISO 14001: 2015, and ISO 9001: 2015 and in order to maximize profitability, competitiveness, and maintain its superior position in methanol production Saman Petrochemical Company has established an integrated management system through using modern management systems. Within this system, sustainable development and continuous improvement, relying on expert and efficient employees, upgraded productivity, customer satisfaction, elimination or reduction of risks and hazards, employees' health and environmental protection as well as increased social responsibility of the organization are the fundamental principles.
