The main mission of the Development and Research Unit in Saman Petrochemical Company is to determine, approve and manage the research activities.

The macro objectives include:

Promotion of the knowledge-based and economic culture in the company
Help to achieve the macro-management objectives and perspectives according to the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Growth of creativity and innovation in the company to add variety to the products

Determining research priorities and creating research policies
Policy making, planning and monitoring research processes
Bedding to take advantage of the scientific potentials inside and outside the organization
Taking advantage of the scientific potentials of educational and research institutions in country

Development of the company’s basket of products
Cooperation with HSE unit and green industry environmental and research
Optimization of resource consumption in accordance to the ISO 5001 Energy Management System
Performing research projects to:

Reduce technical problems
Overcome production bottlenecks
Reduce production costs
Improve products quality

Commercializing research activities
Effective communication with marketing and sales in order to identify customers and their needs
